New Resource for Developing Academic Acceleration Policies

Four leading gifted organizations have produced the document Developing Academic Acceleration Policies: Whole Grade, Early Entrance, and Single Subject that provides insight and guidance for schools and districts. The National Association for Gifted Children, the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa, and the Council of State Directors of Programs for the Gifted joined TAG to produce a document that “includes a brief discussion about policy, recommended elements of an acceleration policy, corresponding checklists, and an abbreviated summary of research supporting academic acceleration. It provides extensive information and support in the appendices, which are available on the Acceleration Institute website.”
